LTX-2.5 Pro vs Fast in ComfyUI Partner Nodes: Resolution and Duration Rules

A client that selects LTX-2.5 through ComfyUI partner nodes is using a hosted API workflow rather than necessarily rendering the same local checkpoint.

A plan name is part of the generation specification

The official guide names Pro and Fast choices with different duration and resolution controls. Its source page says Pro accepts two to ten seconds, while Fast allows two to twenty seconds. Critically, Fast durations above ten seconds require 720p or 1080p and 24/25 frames per second. A budget system must not combine the longest duration with the highest frame rate or 4K and assume that configuration exists.

Prevent impossible combinations

Construct a client-side capability validator keyed on `model=Pro/Fast`, seconds, raster size, aspect ratio and frame rate. The documentation lists higher frame-rate and larger-raster choices in some Fast cases, yet those are not unrestricted for 20-second requests. An editor planning a 16-second 4K shot should receive a clear validation warning before credits are spent, and either shorten the shot, lower the output settings or use multiple approved clips. Never silently reduce quality or duration without recording the actual returned asset.

A two-stage product example

A retail brand needs a long motion sequence and a detailed closing hero shot. Use a ten-to-twenty-second Fast draft at an allowed 1080p setting for pacing, then produce a separate shorter, high-detail hero insert within the supported feature envelope. Use ordinary editing to marry the shots and graphics. Review logos in every export: an image-to-video start frame is not a trademark guarantee. Add exact typography in post.

Hosted and local are not one price

The partner-node tutorial reflects a hosted service and may meter credits or service usage differently from running open weights on owned equipment. ComfyUI’s separate pricing documentation explains vendor-specific units. Preserve the documented setting and date in the matrix; direct dollar and enterprise comparisons belong to AI 10 and require the appropriate account contract. Do not infer equivalent licensing terms from a shared model name.

Quality and rights review

Record the individual result IDs, failures and accepted seconds. Test lip readability and frame cadence in the final timeline. If using voice generation, clear the voice and music rights independently. Verify API availability in the operator’s country, account tier, and service version before deployment. An official tutorial is evidence of a workflow; it is not an independent benchmark or a promise that every ComfyUI installation includes the same nodes.

Relevant alternatives and trade-offs

Use the native LTX-2.5 local workflow for checkpoint management and deeper controls; compare a traditional editor when output must satisfy exact timed motion rather than probabilistic generation.
