Vizard AI Edit is not a general text-to-video engine. Its August 27, 2026 guide describes a beta feature that takes a supported talking-head clip and automatically introduces editing elements such as transitions, zooms and B-roll. Eligibility is narrow: portrait 9:16 footage, a detected speaker and duration between 15 seconds and three minutes. An audio-only podcast or a landscape product demo is not simply another supported input mode.
What the documentation actually establishes
The vendor specifies a rate of 0.5 AI Edit credits per second of source video. Therefore a 30-second eligible input is documented as 15 credits and a 60-second input as 30 credits. This is a consumption rate in the platform’s credits, not a cash price or an unlimited plan entitlement. The beta notice also states that AI Edit is submitted individually, has no API at that point and does not automate publishing schedules.
How a producer would use it
A practical workflow begins after editorial clipping. Select a 9:16 excerpt with good lighting and clean dialogue, ensure the correct speaker is detected and choose an available editing style. Submit one version, retain the clip ID and compare the rendered edit with the source for jump cuts, mismatched B-roll and claims implied by added footage. Evaluate the output’s first and final frames in the destination platform’s safe zones.
Failure cases and human review
Automatically inserted visuals may accidentally illustrate an unverified statement as though it were evidence. Such B-roll should be treated as decorative unless authenticated separately. Auto zooming can crop off sign language, product measurements or a second participant. A repeat render may change effects even with the same source. Preserve the untouched original and log the specific accepted rendering rather than treating a style preset as a deterministic edit recipe.
When this workflow makes sense
Choose AI Edit for rapid reviewable enhancements to supported short talking-head clips, not a bulk production backend. When a workflow requires 500 scheduled videos or exact API automation, the documented beta limitations are disqualifying until the vendor changes them. Always verify the rate and availability on the day of billing, and forward cash-price questions to the AI 10 registry.
Production checklist
- Validate 9:16 orientation, 15–180 seconds and detected speaker
- Budget 0.5 listed credits per eligible source second
- Review added B-roll against substantive claims
- Do not promise a bulk or API feature in beta
- Keep a source/edited comparison master
Documentation and public product announcements describe vendor-supported workflows; this article does not claim access to a paid account, independent video tests or measured output quality. Confirm availability, rights and generation costs for the exact model, account tier and region immediately before production. For cross-vendor rankings, use the AI 09 evidence methodology; for voice and music products, consult AI 05; for dated prices, use the AI 10 registry.
