Pika Credit Pricing: Monthly Plan Allowances, Generation Modes and One-Time Packs

Pika offers credits for video, image and audio work, but one “credit” has no fixed number of generated seconds across models.

Pika offers credits for video, image and audio work, but one “credit” has no fixed number of generated seconds across models.

Evidence scope: First-party documentation was checked on 25 October 2026. Published pricing is a scoped list reference, not a guaranteed account quote. Source dates, release dates and the first effective date of a price are not assumed to be interchangeable; geography, plan, currency and invoicing may alter the paid amount.

Monthly and yearly mode must be recorded

Pika’s official pricing page lists Starter at $10 per month with 900 monthly credits, Creator at $35 with 3,150, and a Fancy tier beginning at $95 with 8,550 credits. Annual equivalents are displayed separately. These are web-app plan references, not API tariff rates; the page also makes a distinction between plan allowances and separately purchased top-ups. Old search snippets or FAQ examples may refer to superseded plan names and must not be blended into this snapshot.

Credit burn depends on model and job

The published sample table shows a five-second 720p Seedance 2.5 video at 122 credits, a five-second 720p Wan 3.0 video at 33 credits, and individual image examples of 8 or 2 credits on identified models. Under a 900-credit Starter allowance, this means seven complete 122-credit clips or twenty-seven 33-credit clips before other generations, assuming no failed or retried tasks. This is arithmetic for those specified templates, not a universal clip allowance.

Top-ups and monthly renewal behave differently

Pika states that monthly subscription credits reset each billing period without rollover, whereas purchased top-ups have a 365-day expiration. It also says top-ups on the referenced platform cannot be used with its API, iOS app or legacy site. A production spreadsheet needs distinct balances: earned monthly allocation, consumed allocation, paid credit pack balance and expiry dates. Otherwise a budget can count unusable credits as cash-equivalent value.

Why a “free” account may not supply video budget

The current official plan grid identifies Free as zero included monthly credits with pack purchases available. Commercial-license and parallel-generation permissions differ by plan. A separate old FAQ may have a different free-credit grant because the offer has changed; snapshots should privilege the scoped price page captured on the date of the comparison and flag the discrepancy for archival review. A consumer web plan is not permission for an unattended API backend.

Forecast practical monthly demand

Estimate prompts, versions, resolution, and revisions separately. For example 20 Wan sample clips at 33 credits use 660 credits; adding 20 images at 8 credits brings it to 820, with 80 left from a 900-credit allowance. A change of model could alter the calculation drastically. Add reviewer cost, rights review, video editing, sound and any third-party delivery expenses. Pika’s list page is neither a guarantee of generation speed nor independent quality evidence.

How to verify the actual invoice

Begin with a small representative workload rather than the cheapest published headline. Record the exact provider and billing channel, API model identifier, currency, account geography, plan and commitment length. The price or quota evidence in this guide is keyed to monthly_credits, monthly_subscription, website_credits_per_5s_video. Do not combine proprietary creative credits, token meters or media seconds into a single currency or invent a conversion rate between them. If an enterprise or regional rate is not published, leave its price unknown and obtain a written quote.

Keep separate estimates for failed attempts, optional tools, storage, exports, human quality review and tax. Use source-verified line items from the companion CSV instead of typing permanent numbers into your forecasting formulas. Where an old plan or model was superseded, preserve its original historical record and create an additive later snapshot. This guide does not claim a product test, performance ranking, independent legal assessment or live procurement approval.

Availability, alternatives and editorial limits

Available plans, supported endpoints, trial eligibility, quota reset and contract rights may vary by region and account even when a public website displays a single global currency. Compare an alternative only with the same accepted task, input/output volume, model version and privacy requirements. Vendor-provided marketing claims are not independent evidence of quality. This historical pricing article may be cross-referenced by the model, media or enterprise procurement team, but its purpose is to explain the billing mechanics without duplicating their evaluations or inventing test scores.
